The Intention

I've tried blogging before.  The accepted way to make a blog successful is to embrace a topic, write stuff about it, and keep going pretty regularly - but my attention span isn't necessarily suited to this idea.  I often feel I have things to say, and I have spent a lot of time working out whether or not it might be acceptable to just come out and say it.  I have landed on the conclusion that a lot of the time it is.

So this is a blog about nothing specific.  It will probably feature things about faith, mental health, running, parenting a toddler, community work and probably the odd bit of self-indulgent creative writing, because these are the things that shape where I am right now.  I won't be so presumptuous as to say it's a blog about life, because what shapes my life is worlds apart from what might shape someone else's.  I also won't claim it is a blog about my life, as I'm almost certainly going to omit quite a lot of stuff, and let's face it, who wants to hear about the minutiae of someone else's here and now?  So it's a blog about things that interest me, that may also interest some other people, and I'd love it if someone read it and enjoyed it, or thought about stuff they hadn't considered, or felt understood on some level, or agreed with a point of view.  Maybe that will happen, maybe it won't - but I'm here, now, and I'm talking about it.
